One source said that with the larger, listed service providers pulling out of the US market, those that had decided to keep working in it were “swamped with work and demand for our service at the moment, we are having to turn some of it away”.
The source added that the Act meant companies such as theirs had to try as hard as possible to “stay under the radar” as they strove to address demand.
Operators were also looking at high customer sign-ups and registrations. One source at a US-focused firm said that issues such as payments and media advertising were being dealt with as they had been in the past. They added: “Americans have an insatiable appetite for online gaming ? and there will always be providers working to find ways to take their play.”
The source added: “American voters are getting pretty tired of the White House setting an agenda that differs from the real priorities of the country”, and they expected the US egaming industry to go through major upheavals in the next two years. In addition, a swing towards a Democrat-led Congress in next week’s US mid-term elections could see the possibility of a commission being set up to review “this poorly considered legislation”, the source said.
